Congratulations to the Class of 2018 + Joe French
Let's give a warm welcome to the very first Class of 2018 Senior for this year's Senior Month...
NAME:
Joe French
SCHOOL:
Marquette University High School
FAVORITE SUBJECT:
Biology
FAVORITE COLOR:
Green
SPORT:
Rowing at Milwaukee Rowing Club
WORK:
Friends of Hoyt Park and Pool
FOR FUN:
hangout with my friends, play frisbee and soccer, go on bike rides, eat food
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
first place in middle school science fair, multiple rowing medals, I can dunk a basketball sometimes.
I have to interrupt this interview with a funny story from Joe's session. See the photo up there with his jacket over his shoulder? While shooting that set, we were stopped several times by on-lookers... wait for it... asking if he was the GROOM. Joe's mom, Sara, after recovering from a mild heat attack, replied with a firm no. Not yet.
PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT:
when my boat got 2nd place in the regatta at Midwest
IF I COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, I'D GO TO:
New Zealand
MY DREAM JOB IS TO:
be a sponsored athlete
For the record, Joe has a quiet, sneaky sense of humor. That said, he was pretty serious during his portrait session. This next photo is one of my favorites... I was acting a fool (in other words, "normal") and his mom was DANCING. In. Public. He really had no choice but to give a little and laugh.
I'm so glad I got to know yet another member of the warm and kind French family. Sara, there's only one left... (sniff)
Best of luck to you, Joe, as you spread your wings.... and oars... at Madison next year.
