Fastest Family Session Ever | Sladky Family Photos
Last fall this family met me in a grassy…frost covered… field for their photos.
My first thought when I showed up was “Oh, NO! The green grass is covered with frost!” Ha… little did I know that less than a week later, on Halloween, we would have an all-out blizzard! So funny how retrospect can be.
Check out this absolutely, positively ADORABLE family. And the frosty grass.
Let me introduce you to the cutie-pie members of this picture-perfect family.
Mom, Emily, is an accountant from Iowa who enjoys reading and knitting (my kind of girl). Dad, Jake is a dentist who was born and raised in Brookfield. According to Emily, “He tends to be more outdoorsy and always wants to plan a party.” (Sadly, all parties at Dad’s house will be delayed until after the Stay-Home mandate is over.)
They have three boys and a dog named Penny.
Emily filled me on the boys…
Jimmy is our oldest and likes to be our little helper. He's in kindergarten and likes Pokemon and sports.
Robbie is our middle son, who loves to be just like big brother. He's a rough and tumble guy, but tends to be a bit accident prone. He is usually happy and chatty, but sometimes has a bit of a temper.
Charlie is the baby but wants to do everything big brothers are doing. He doesn't stop moving.
We like to travel or explore Milwaukee. We love the zoo and parks. We mostly try to wear out the kids.
And really, with three boys under the age of five, who can blame the parents for purposely trying to wear them out?
Funny thing about this session.
The boys also came with an egg timer. (not literally)
It was a FAST session. Non-stop movement. Continuous action. When I got back to the studio, I looked at the time stamps on the photos. To my surprise, it was precisely 29 minutes from start to finish. Mind you, that also included one snack break and one dog chase.
I could have bribed the boys for extra time. I could have done something more, sure. But the shots we got (and there were many, many more!) are perfect just the way they are.
They may not be perfect (see: frozen grass). Charlie may have had a death grip on a fruit snack and a toy car. But these photos show a family filled with love and laughter. These images show a family that looks past the false-perfect and embraces real-life.
Those, truly are my kind of people.
When the weather warms and the virus clears, you will want some family photos to hang in your newly decorated (ha) living room. Let’s schedule a call today to talk about your next session.
