Seriously, thru networking. This was not even on my radar screen, but a woman I met thru networking, who became a very good friend of mine, reached out to me one day about an opportunity at the Brookfield Chamber. Here I am 16 years later and still honored to work with these amazing people every day.

Wow - now there's a question. I think most people see the "fun" side of this and do not realize that this is running your own small business with all the challenges that brings with it.
NAME ONE THING THAT YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
Our organization is funded solely by those businesses that choose to be a part of the Chamber. We do not receive any tax dollars, grants or other funding. Often times people think that membership in the Chamber should be free because they pay taxes in the municipality.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
All the amazing people that I get to meet and the friends that I have made.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE STARTING OUT IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
