WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?
I actually have 3.
(1) Home owner ready to sell their home.
(2) Commercial client looking to up-level their client experience.
(3) Vacation rental property owner (Airbnb, VRBO) who would like to update their online presence.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN YOUR FIELD OF WORK?
I have been "pushing furniture around" and redesigning spaces for as long as I can remember LOL!! You see, I was that goofy girl who was WAY more concerned with helping Barbie create her Dream House than I was with what she was wearing or who she was dating (sorry Ken).
WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE think THEY KNOW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
The term "staging" doesn't always mean filling an empty home with new furniture and accessories in order to sell a home property. While that is a service we do offer - referred to as "vacant staging" ... staging and redesign are often used to update a current space (be it a residence, commercial property or vacation rental property). This service - referred to as "occupied staging" allows us to start with what is currently in the space and elevate the space by re-imagining it's function, refreshing the look with elevated inventory and redesigning the FEEL of the space.
NAME ONE THING THAT YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
It only takes 7 seconds to make a first impression! Staging is the fine art of creating a positive experience for your client by engaging all of their senses ... the minute they walk up to your door. Staging helps your space tell a story and allows your client to feel all the feels while they're in the space.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
While I absolutely love every single part of the creative process involved with staging and redesign... my FAVORITE part of my job (hands down) is helping my incredible clients transition their space, and often their lives!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE STARTING OUT IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
Use your (human) resources! There are so many wonderful people out there who are more than willing to help you out ... if you take the time to ask.
