WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?
My ideal client is the mom on the go. She's very involved in her children's extra-curriculars but still has her own life. Her family tries to stay active and healthy together. Dr. Alex also specializes in pediatrics, so she can bring her kids too!
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN YOUR FIELD OF WORK?
I've always been in some sort of marketing/promotions role, but when I was looking for something different, I met the owner of Connect Chiropractic, Dr. Alex Young, at a trade show. By the end of the weekend, we were discussing ways to grow a successful business together, and I jumped on the opportunity to join the team. What started as a "basic" chiropractic assistant role turned into a role as a community-builder, an educator, and an advocate for our profession and our patients.
WHAT IS SOMETHING PEOPLE think THEY KNOW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
People think that chiropractors are just "back crackers". Which is SO NOT TRUE! We actually don't do any twisting, turning, cracking, or popping in our office. Our particular technique allows us to be very gentle and specific by addressing the nervous system directly. It's definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach. We really get to the root cause of each person's symptoms, and we create personalized care recommendations to get our patients functioning and feeling better!
NAME ONE THING THAT YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
Chiropractic care can help with so much more than just back problems! We work with the nervous system, which is connected to every cell, tissue, muscle, and organ in your body. Our patients come in for help with migraines, vertigo, trouble sleeping, sinus problems, allergies, digestive issues, and so much more! The earlier someone can begin down the road of health and healing in our office, the better - this is why we see everyone from infants, to children, to teenagers and adults. Given the proper assistance, the body has the most amazing ability to heal itself!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I love seeing someone who has been struggling with chronic pain for YEARS come into the office with a huge smile on their face to tell me that they're FINALLY feeling some relief.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE STARTING OUT IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
Believe in what you do and care about the people rather than the numbers.
