Tosa East HS class of 2021 Sneak Peek | Connor

The class of 2021 is coming in strong!

You get to meet Connor today. He’s a senior at Wauwatosa East High School and he loves his school. It was so adorable how he lit up when we pulled into the parking lot.

I have people ask me about locations. It might be one of the most popular questions aside from “What do I do with my hands?”

Where should we go?

Do they need to choose the spot or will I help them?

What if they want photos indoor and outdoor?

Yes.

That’s my official answer, and I’m sticking to it.

We can go anywhere you want. I used to joke that we can fly to Paris for senior photos but sadly, that’s off the list right now. (Go away COVID.)

Part of my service to you is to help you decide where to do your photos. There’s more involved than you realize - and it starts at the very beginning, before I even pick up my camera.

First, we will schedule a Pre-Session Consultation where we discuss - among other things - locations. I will ask the questions and listen. I will show you samples. I will do my best to choose a spot that is maybe a little meaningful or possibly just pretty to look at.

I also have a questionnaire that each client receives. The answers help guide me even more.

Here are some things that I consider before answering the question of “where”:

  1. Your clothing and personal style (both in general and specific to the session)

  2. Your home decor style

  3. Including personally meaningful spots

  4. Trying to include the various types of backgrounds you requested

  5. Considering how the images will be displayed

  6. Thinking outside the box

  7. Distance and accessibility

  8. Cost of admission if needed

  9. Applying for a permit if required*

  10. Weather and time of day for sunlight along with my choice to not make my clients squint into the sun (you’re welcome)

*Milwaukee County Parks require a Photography Permit and some of the more popular “wedding spots” may not even allow us since we are merely families or seniors.

For Connor’s photos, they wanted some shots by the school (check) and some in a park-like setting. We had the best of both worlds right on the Tosa East campus.

I hope you like Connor’s Sneak Peek.

You, too, can have your very own Sneak Peek! Let’s talk about your senior photos and where you might want to have them done. My calendar is booking up quickly so don’t wait!
