Wauwatosa West HS class of 2021 Sneak Peek | Logan

The Class of 2021 seniors are still trickling in. Today I get to share a great Sneak Peek with a great kid. This is Logan from Wauwatosa West.

I always tell seniors - anyone, really - to bring whatever they want to their sessions. Logan brought his Metallica shirt to wear. This is a message to all parents who question if they should “let” their kids wear their favorite band t-shirt. The answer is in this portrait - YES.

I wholeheartedly agree that you should wear your favorite band’s shirt. Why not? Look, you’re a senior in high school, you have passions, one of them may be music - maybe not making music but listening to it. I always say “bring what you love”. So… bring it! Plus, how great will it be to look at your senior portraits in 10 years and laugh that you actually liked that band/still like that band.

The warning I would give - the part that moms assume I would say upfront - is that it shouldn’t be your only outfit. Logos and words will instantly age a photo. Now, Metallica is pretty timeless, but imagine, moms, if you wore your fave NKOTB t-shirt to your senior portraits. Yes.. you get it. So just make sure you have other things to wear in addition. Logan did - and they were perfect. He had a black polo shirt and a dark green shirt as well. A great balance of “clean and simple” and “this is me”.

So I guess this all begs the question… do you still have that NKOTB shirt???
