Rankin Family Sneak Peek
Kara called me to get family photos taken again. Last time I photographed her clan, it was for holiday photos. She needed some new photos for her new home. Maybe something fresh and… current. And there’s no better place to do family photos than her own backyard!
I love doing family photos because it’s almost like I’m scheming with - and against! - the family.
Okay, wait, let me explain.
I’m continuously scheming with mom to get the kids, the dog and yes, dad, too, to cooperate, not fake-smile and pretend to be having the absolute time of their lives.
We both know, deep down, pulling that off closely resembles the act of pulling teeth.
Or does it?…
The thing is, mom doesn’t know what I’m seeing through my lens. She doesn’t realize what dynamics I’m observing, what a fake smile really looks like.
She doesn’t realize that I’m capturing PURE GOLD for her.
