Do you wonder (read: worry) about what’s involved? If you have time? If you have a lot you will have to DO? Here are the FIVE steps to senior portraits.
5 STEPS TO SENIOR PORTRAITS
PRE-BOOKING PHONE CALL This is your chance to ask me ALLLLLL the questions. I always like to hear about what’s important to you and your senior, what your timeline is (aka yearbook deadlines) and we can even book the session right on the phone. // 5-15 min
PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION Usually scheduled about 2 weeks before the session, this is a VITAL appointment for everyone. Your senior gets to meet me (rather than at the session for the first time, eeek!) and I get to know your senior. This is SO helpful in guiding me to better photograph them. We talk about the session - where, when, how, why. I share the Print Collections - which include sample albums (and possible inspiration for your own session!) You will leave excited and ready for your session! // 45-60 min
THE BIG DAY Let’s do it! This is the day we’ve been planning. We’ve picked the locations, the wardrobe and the styling. Now… let’s have FUN! // 2 hours
REVEAL + SELECTION APPOINTMENT This is the BIG REVEAL! Depending on timing and schedules, this gathering is usually about 2-3 weeks after your session. You will see all the final images, choose your favorites and decide how you want to display them in your home. I do ALL the heavy lifting, planning and thinking. You literally get to come in, drool over your photos and point and cheer (maybe even cry). My goal is to make picking your favorite shots and placing your order - which could be nearly impossible - as easy and painless as possible. // 90 min
PHOTO PICK UP DAY A few weeks after your order is placed, you get to see the final products! There is something special about HOLDING your physical portraits. It’s the feeling that all the effort, excitement and love can be FELT IN YOUR HANDS and you can look at that book, that wall display, that STORY FRAMED on your wall any time you want. They are yours. Forever. (Even after your senior is off to college… sniff.) // 5-15 min
