Tosa East class of 2022 Sneak Peek | Lauren

I was thrilled that Lauren chose me to photograph her senior portraits. I knew her waaay back in her elementary days at the Wauwatosa STEM School.

I have to be honest, though.

When I met her for her session, this darling little face is what I was expecting to see.

Sweet Lauren, with her little kid cheeks and adorable pigtails.

The gorgeous young adult who stepped out of the car made me stop in my tracks.

Lauren. Grew. Up.

And I literally needed a minute to recover.

Lauren is now a senior in high school (not in 5th grade, like in the photo above), on the verge of graduation and moving on with the rest of her grownup life.

Here’s the Sneak Peek from her senior portrait session. Enjoy. And try not to cry into your coffee.

Is it time to face the music for your own high school senior? Have you been in denial, putting off scheduling senior photos all summer? Have you thought that maaaaybe if you don’t schedule senior pictures, your baby won’t ever have to start senior year?

Bad news: we have no control over the stoppage of time. Those kids will grow up and become high school seniors whether you allow it or not.

You may as well schedule the photos today and not stress yourself out as yearbook deadlines approach.

If you’re wondering what’s involved, here it is: there are just THREE appointments.

  1. Pre-Session Consultation - 45 minute consultation held 1-2 weeks before the portrait session. Your senior gets to meet me and talk about what’s important for his/her photos. You get a preview of how you can share and display your images.

  2. Portrait Session - roughly 2 hour session to capture your senior, location and styling discussed at the consultation. This is the day to have ALL the fun!

  3. Reveal + Selection Appointment - 90 minute appointment where you get to see all your final images, choose your favorites and how you want to display them.

PRO TIP: Schedule your session first. This appointment is the most important one - you want the date and time of day to be just right. You’ll need time beforehand to get ready for your session. Plus, it’s the biggest block of time.

Are you ready to get started? Let’s go!
